About
About the Author
Kenneth E. Murrey Sr. is an 81-year-old Black author based in Los Angeles, California. He began writing at age 78 — not as a literary pursuit, but as an act of love and grief after losing his wife of sixty years, Regina L. Murrey, in August 2020.
In raw, unpolished, deeply personal prose, Kenneth writes directly to his readers — addressing them simply as "Reader" — sharing his journey through devastation, loneliness, and the slow rediscovery of the will to live. He wrote his first two books in 90 days. "It was so easy to write," he says, "because I experienced every line and every page."
His five-book series spans autobiography, tribute, and narrative self-help — covering his life as a Black man in America, his sixty-year marriage, and how memories become the only cure for loneliness.
